We have been using the sun to help heat our homes for generations, and the design of homes throughout history have taken this into account. At the same time, because the gas is not a liquid, if a leak does occur there’s no major damage to the home and no major cleanup and repair bill. The draw back is that this isn’t as as efficient at storing heat as liquid systems because air is not as dense as water so doesn’t absorb as much heat.
